It is a free download but it will take some programming skill to actually make it usable. This assumes that you have your own server or at least access a domain host that lets you install your own custom software. There are also vendors out there that can supply a "canned" store front for you using the oscommerce software. Look at the forums at the below link , they do contain a lot of info.
