Now we know ebay needs to have their income to though male anything we sell any some-more we risk losing income as well as have to assign some-more than we would customarily since they take a great cube of your income right away for fees as well as afterwards paypal takes fees as well as it all only ends up receiving from a seller. yes i agree. i was doing the numbers and for example if you put an item for $5 and shipping for lets say $2, after all the fees subtracted, i only make a paltry 3.71!! Ebay charges you a listing fee starting at 35 cents, depending on the starting price and then they charge you a final value fee based on the price you sold it for at the end of the auction. This final value fee is only charged on the item’s price and not on the shipping charges. But get this, this is where paypal nails you!! they charge an initial 30 cents plus a 2.9 processing fee on your total final price and the shipping charges. And it’s no suprise that Paypal is an Ebay company. go figure. I wish there was an alternative auction site. Both paypal and ebay are ripping people off. And right now, they are pushing hard for this free shipping. so instead of me selling a shirt for $10 with 5 bucks shipping, they prefer for me to offer for $15 with free shipping and they make the profits. I dont know if you use a calculator to calculate your fees but try this one. it really opens your eyes as to what you are actually making when you list an item.
