How much are the fees for using eBay?

I listened eBay has fees as well as we can’t sell upon craigslist so we wish to make use of eBay, we do not wish to remove the lot of my income though. What do they assign we for? Any recommendation upon offered things? we never used eBay, interjection for your help.
