1. Michael is correct as to current statutory law in California. However, the validity of regulations prohibiting the possession of all sorts of "arms" are now in doubt since the decision in Heller v. District of Columbia. I think it probable that the Second Amendment protects the individual right to keep and bear clubs such as collapsible batons.
