  1. What i would recommend, and what taught me alot about coding, is to goto some sites such as,

These have tutorials on different aspects of web design in most coding languages ranging from simple to complex to OMG my head hurts.

Graphically the best ideas come from two places. 1) is in your head. If you want to design a site, keep a note pad and pencil with you for flashes of inspiration. I work in a factory and whilst toiling away on the lines i often quickly scribble down code ideas and page layouts.

    2) Is inspiration from other websites and designs. Although straight out copying isnt considered good practice, especially if work is copyrighted, just looking at a website can give you ideas for yours. Taking a little piece of several sites and merging them into one can look amazing.

  2. The best site for webdesign is, of course, w3schools.com. The world wide web consortium is the one that establishes the standards in html, css. For a photo editor course google for adobe tutorials or for corel tutorials. for color harmony, take a look at smartpixel or at chromoweb (search in google). for css, I recommend you w3schools thean and. good luck!
